Genesis designers know how to get people talking with their future vehicle concepts

Customers visit us at Gerald Genesis because they're looking for something different. Because they don't want to drive a luxury vehicle that everyone else already has in their garage. Because they want to stand out on the Chicago streets.

Currently, Genesis has three models - the Genesis G70, Genesis G80, and Genesis G90 - but they have a bright future ahead of them as they look to expand the options for shoppers to drive around Aurora IL or Wheaton IL.

Here's a peek at their concept vehicles and how they could information the future for the brand.

A crossover on the horizon

As we noted early, the Genesis lineup is currently comprised of all sedans, but we're sure that'll change in the future. Genesis already gave us a taste of what it could do with the GV80 luxury crossover, and the reception didn't disappointment. We love the ultra-minimalist interior, touch controls for the rear seat passengers, and hydrogen fuel cell powertrain.

Luxury meets performance

The Genesis Essentia concept was called "electric and electrifying". Designers left their reserved stylings by the wayside and chose wing doors, an impossibly long hood, and angled rear. The exterior looks like something you'd see in a Sci-Fi movie, while the interior also has leather seating and design elements that're delightfully vintage.

An executive vision

The Genesis Vision G is a coupe model that was revealed a few years ago, and honestly it looked close to being production ready! The massive grille is quite menacing, and we love the sculpting designers used across the side body. Inside there is quilted cream-colored leather seats and plenty of wood trim, which creates a quiet cabin ambience. If this came to the stores we know shoppers from Naperville would love to take one home!

The future and the past blend

Another model revealed around the same time was the Genesis New York Concept, though it definitely was closer to out-there concept vehicle than near-production model. It has a long touchscreen that spans the dash, a steering wheel that isn't a complete circle and has serious video-game vibes, and a wide build that takes up space on the pavement, thus making a statement.

Hopefully we'll see elements of these awe-inspiring Genesis concepts make their way into brand-new models or generational updates. In the meantime, come check out our current selection at our North Aurora IL dealership.
